He knew he would be six. I told him that his dad and I would be 40. So he said, and when you're 40, you'll die. I couldn't stop myself from saying, well Jesus, I hope not, secretly thinking that 40 is the magic number I hope to get to in order to signal a decent chance of getting a lot older. They all have a realization that everyone is alive so everyone dies and everyone means, well, EVERYone. Including moms and dads and sisters and... themselves. And to have a mom who has gone through what you've been through... well. I'd be more surprised if he wasn't talking about it.<br /><br />I do like how you cover so much in one post.
